Why I am running for Mayor:
I am not a politician-- but I am an active and involved citizen who is tired of watching the unbelievable train wreck that our non-partisan municipal government has become. It’s costing us too much. With the community outlining clear goals, there are few limits to the accomplishments that a creative, transparent, fiscally responsible council that abides by the law can achieve.
Although there are others running whose service to Montclair deserves notable recognition, we have to get the politics out of public service. A new council and a clean slate should not be forced to defend indefensible past votes or acts. We need to put the past behind us and cooperate civilly to move Montclair forward. I firmly believe in the democratic process. I am socially liberal, fiscally conservative and ready to serve.

Why I am ready for this role:
I have spent over 50 years as a Montclair resident. I am a lawyer, a small business owner, and a single mother. I am uniquely qualified as a professional negotiator who understands contracts and the law. I have spent the time going to council meetings and doing research. I am well versed in the issues that currently face our community and am ready to take action to make sure our residents and business owners voices are heard.
